Orbitals is an intergalactic 2-player co-op adventure created exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2, combining action, adventure and puzzle-solving gameplay with a distinctive retro anime-inspired visual style. Players take control of Maki and Omura, two explorers who must work together to save their crumbling station home after it becomes trapped within a supernatural cosmic storm. The adventure takes players beyond the storm and into dangerous asteroid fields, mysterious abandoned stations and unexplored areas filled with puzzles, hazards, creatures and characters. Designed around asymmetric 2-player cooperation, each character has unique tools and abilities that require communication and teamwork to progress. The game supports local split-screen multiplayer as well as online 2-player play through Nintendo Switch 2 GameShare, giving players multiple ways to experience the adventure together. Orbitals also features handcrafted cinematic cutscenes inspired by classic Japanese anime, full voice acting across multiple languages and an original soundtrack designed to complement its retro-inspired atmosphere. The game supports TV, tabletop and handheld modes and includes touchscreen features on Nintendo Switch 2.
