The Nikon Z 30 is a DX-format mirrorless camera designed for vlogging, photography, video recording, content creation, streaming and travel photography. Its 20.9MP CMOS sensor provides detailed image capture while the DX-format sensor offers greater image detail and depth compared with smaller smartphone sensors. The camera supports 4K UHD video recording with a maximum video resolution of 2160p and supports JPEG, RAW, MOV and MP4 file formats for flexible image and video workflows.
The Z 30 features a Nikon Z mount and is supplied with a NIKKOR Z DX 16-50mm f/3.5-6.3 VR lens, providing a wide-angle to standard zoom range. The lens incorporates image stabilization and has a variable maximum aperture of f/3.5-6.3. Its 16mm minimum focal length and 50mm maximum focal length provide flexibility for vlogging, travel photography, everyday photography and video recording.
For focusing, the camera uses a 209-point hybrid autofocus system with automatic and manual focus options and Continuous-Servo AF (AF-C). Continuous shooting is supported at 11 frames per second, allowing the camera to capture a sequence of images during moving subjects and dynamic scenes. The camera also provides automatic, manual, program, aperture priority and shutter priority exposure control for flexible shooting.
A 3-inch articulating LCD touchscreen with approximately 1040k dots provides a flexible viewing and control interface, while the electronic viewfinder offers an additional framing option. Connectivity includes Bluetooth, HDMI and USB, supporting connection with compatible devices and external displays. The camera also supports a variety of creative uses including vlogging, streaming, content creation, travel photography and general video recording.
