007 First Light is a cinematic action-adventure game developed and published by IO Interactive in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios. Designed for PlayStation 5, the game presents a standalone reimagining of James Bond's origin story, following a young and resourceful Bond as he begins his journey towards becoming an elite MI6 agent. After an act of bravery earns him a place in the revived Double 0 programme, Bond must navigate a dangerous mission involving a rogue agent, a deep conspiracy and a looming coup.
The game combines espionage, stealth, combat, driving and high-tech gadgets in a story-driven adventure. Players can approach objectives in different ways, choosing to infiltrate locations quietly, gather intelligence, bluff their way past guards or engage in direct combat. The flexible gameplay encourages players to adapt their approach to each mission and the challenges they encounter.
Players will explore varied international locations, encounter familiar characters including M, Q and Moneypenny, and work alongside Bond's mentor, John Greenway. The adventure blends cinematic sequences with interactive missions, vehicle pursuits and action set pieces, creating a new interpretation of the James Bond universe.
