The camera features advanced AI-based subject recognition and Real-time Tracking capable of recognizing humans, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and airplanes, with human pose estimation helping maintain focus on subjects even when their face is partially obscured or turned away. Its hybrid autofocus system provides up to 759 phase-detection points covering approximately 93% of the image area for still photography, while autofocus operation supports AF-C, AF-S, DMF and manual focus. For video creators, the A6700 supports 4K recording oversampled from 6K and high-frame-rate recording up to 120fps with 10-bit 4:2:2 colour. The camera also features 5-axis in-body optical image stabilization with up to 5 stops of shake compensation, helping support handheld photography and video recording. The included 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 standard zoom lens features Optical SteadyShot image stabilization and a retractable design suited to travel and vlogging.
