Canon EOS R50 V Mirrorless Camera with RF-S 14-30mm Lens
The Canon EOS R50 V is an APS-C mirrorless camera designed specifically for interchangeable-lens video creation, vlogging, live streaming and content production. It combines a 24.2MP APS-C CMOS sensor with a DIGIC X image processor and the RF-S 14-30mm F4-6.3 IS STM PZ lens, providing an ultra-wide to standard zoom range with power zoom functionality. The supplied lens covers 14-30mm with a 35mm-equivalent range of approximately 22-48mm and features image stabilization, a leadscrew-type STM focus drive and smooth quiet autofocus for video recording. The lens uses one UD element and two aspherical lenses to support image quality from the centre toward the edges while maintaining a compact design.
Built around the needs of content creators, the EOS R50 V features a redesigned creator-focused interface, a dedicated front-facing Record button and a second Record button positioned at the shutter. A zoom lever provides control of compatible Power Zoom lenses, with zoom speed customizable through the camera menu. The camera also provides both vertical and horizontal tripod mounting positions, while the on-screen menu automatically rotates according to the camera orientation during Movie mode. A red tally light and red LCD border indicate when recording is active. The camera supports 4K Crop up to 59.94p, 4K full-width up to 29.97p and Full HD full-width up to 119.8p, along with Slow and Fast modes for creative control over recording frame rate and playback speed.
The camera includes a 3-inch 1.04-million-dot articulating LCD screen and an electronic viewfinder, while the multifunction shoe supports compatible accessories and the camera incorporates a three-microphone array for audio capture and unwanted noise reduction. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi and USB 3.0 Type-C, supporting wireless and wired workflows for content creation. The camera supports manual, program and movie shooting modes, 10-bit image processing and multiple white-balance settings.
